The Happy Together Tour by Pat Adams from Tennessee Concerts:
I love these Happy Together Tours. In the 1980's, I went to the two Happy Together Tours 

that came to Nashville which included acts like The Grassroots, The Buckinghams, 

The Association, Gary Lewis, Gary Puckett & Spanky (from Spanky & Our Gang). 

TPAC is the perfect venue for this type of event. I also went to the 2013 Happy Together Tour including Gary Lewis, Mark Lindsay, Gary Puckett, Chuck Negron (from Three Dog Night) 

and of course The Turtles. Another, great Happy Together Tour show!

The Turtles are an American rock band led by vocalists Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman, later known as Flo and Eddie. The band became notable for several Top 40 hits.

Queen with Adam Lambert at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville Tennessee

Queen w/ Adam Lambert ..  August 3, 2017  North American Tour. Bridgestone Arena

Adam Lambert and Queen first performed together in 2009 when Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor appeared on the eighth season of American Idol on which Lambert was a contestant. Shortly after the finale Brian May indicated to Rolling Stone that he was considering Lambert as a front man for Queen. On January 26, 2017 a 26-date concert tour through North America was announced.

I have heard of this band and have loved their music for many years! Although, I didn’t realize that every song is an awesome song. Freddy Mercury was indeed a talent that will always be missed. I have heard a few say that Adam Lambert is certainly not Freddy Mercury. He’s not. He is the cutest, wittiest, singer and entertainer I’ve ever seen. His moves on stage, well, they are a little bit naughty and a little bit rock and roll.

Brian May on guitar and vocals, Roger Taylor on drums, percussion, and vocals, and Adam Lambert, lead vocals. These guys were totally awesome. They work together like a fine tuned machine. 

I am an ole’ Santana fan! But this kid, Adam Lambert is the real deal! These guys must have changed their wardrobe at least seven to eight times throughout the show. The Trinitron screens and laser light shows were the most magnificent I have witnessed in a long while. It was an elaborate production, with several uses of the robot that graces the cover of News of the World. I was mesmerized the whole night. 

Of course my favorite is “Bohemian Rhapsody” as it’s close to my heart. But there is not a song that you don’t remember from days gone by. “We Will Rock You” to “We are the Champions” and all in between are fabulous! 

I have to say that if you are given the opportunity to see a show; this is the one to see! I will never forget and if by chance you guys come back this way again, I will be there! 

Thanks Adam and Queen for a truly magnificent show and an awesome night out in the beautiful Musical City, Nashville, Tennessee! Come again!

I love these Happy Together Tours. In the 1980's, I went to the two Happy Together Tours that came to TPAC in Nashville which included acts like The Grassroots, The Buckinghams, The Association, Gary Lewis, Gary Puckett, Spanky (from Spanky & Our Gang) and as always The Turtles (Flo & Eddie). TPAC was the perfect venue for the 2013 Happy Together Tour including Gary Lewis, Mark Lindsay, Gary Puckett, Chuck Negron (from Three Dog Night) and of course The Turtles. Another great show. The 2016 Happy Together Tour was at Nashville's War Memorial Auditorium. Act's included were Billy J. Kramer, The Cowsills, Mark Lindsay, Gary Puckett, Chuck Negron, and of course The Turtles. I enjoyed all of the above concerts and will say that the Happy Together Tour is always a fun time. And, The Turtles was my first ever concert. 2017 brought the Happy Together Tour to the historic Ryman Auditorium. I didn't get to go this time, but my friend Katie Lovering went and got some great pictures. Lyle Lovett & John Hiatt by Pat Adams from Tennessee Concerts 

I went to see Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on November 5, 2017. I wasn't sure what to expect, this was an acoustic show featuring both artists taking turns doing their songs. I knew very little about Lyle Lovett. I knew he was a singer, and I knew he was once married to pretty woman, Julia Roberts. I had seen John Hiatt play before in front of the Parthanon at Centennial Park, but knew nothing about his music. I do remember before, John Hiatt saying that when he first came to Nashville, he slept under a park bench at Centennial Park. Lyle Lovett was doing some of his own stage setup before the show, people in the audience were saying "is that Lyle Lovett? This concert included lots of interaction with the audience, with many in the audience requesting songs, also. Both Lyle Lovett & John Hiatt told stories and were very funny also, bringing lots of laughs from the audience. Both guys sounded great. I was impressed with Lyle Lovett. He sounded good and had many good songs. This was my first time at the Schermerhorm Symphony Center and I found it to be a very nice music venue. Thanks to Steve Stienhaur, his daughter, and Lightning 100 Radio Station for the ticket! It was very enjoyable.
