| Trace Adkins Born Jan. 13, 1962 in Springhill, LA Trace Adkins first began performing with a gospel quartet while still attending high school in the nearby town of Sarepta LA. He continued to sing gospel throughout his years at Louisiana. Trace Adkins perfoming at 2008 New Years Eve Trace Adkins & Lynyrd Skynyrd will co-headline a New Years Eve concert at the Sommet Center in Nashville. The show will be hosted by comedian Killer Beaz. Trace Adkins will open at 7:00, followed by .38 Special, then Lynyrd Skynyrd will close the show. Both Trace Adkins and Lynyrd Skynyrd will be simultaneously performing in Pikeville Kentucky, as well as the Nashville concert. Lynyrd Skynyrd will opening the Pikeville KY show that night, then fly to Nashville to close the Nashville concert. Trace Adkins will open the Nashville show, before flying to Pikeville to close that show. A second band will be playing at both shows, while the co-headliners fly to the other show.
